Jiffy Grill

My husband and I went to the Jiffy restaurant at the Kingston Centre tonight, Oct. 21, we go there a lot. We sat there for 10 min, and the 2 staff on didn't even acknowledged us. We were very surprised,the owner was in the back, joking with the cook. We sat near the back of the restaurant, but there were tables just a couple away from us, the young girl didn't even glance at use, the guy just kept going around tables asking guests how things were, but ignored us. We left and won't go back soon.

Great breakfast/lunch place! Some of the servers could use more training in terms of habits (holding a glass or mug from the top therefore putting fingers on the rim), but always friendly and fast! Love my Jiffy Grill! And after 11 you can get a drink!

Still Hungry

I've been to this restaurant twice. Once for breakfast and once to get take out pizza. This review is mostly about the pizza. I ordered the all dressed. Large. Pieces were cut quite uneven. When I first opened up the pizza box, the first thing I noticed was that there did not appear to be much substance to the pizza - the toppings were very small.I would say half of the pizza was not even covered in the toppings other than the cheese and sauce. The taste wasn't bad but definitely did not feel full enough after 2 pieces as I might with some other pizzas. Also noted that the pizza sauce was a bit different than usual - tangy tasting. Not bad tasting but just different. Normally when I get a large pizza, I have leftovers for the next day but in this case I am sitll hungry so I will likely eat the rest of the pizza.

You know.. sometimes you find a little hole in the wall. This one is out where Beaver Lumber, Herbies and The Brick used to be. The parking lot right now is absolutely torn up.. but once you find this restaurant... you'll remember it... It's a bit different, it's homemade meals done like mum would've made them.. quick, easy, there for you to mow down as fast or as slow as you like... With desert later if you want. The food isn't at all special. This is a place where you go to if you don't have much to spend, but want something decent to fill you. Their selection is great, the burgers are very tasty and the pizza is as well. This place feels more like one of those places that you'd stop at while on the road to wherever... that only truckers seem to know about. The service is excellent and it has to be due to the lack of customers. I've never seen more than my party and maybe another there at the same time. Which is a shame but kudos to them for being there for so long, they are clearly doing something right. My ex had the spaghetti and meatballs.. thats one dish I wouldn't recommend. They slack a bit on the portion size.. namely the meatballs. She also got a strawberry milkshake. Very yummy.. but it honestly tasted more like vanilla than strawberry.. she was disappointed.. I sure wasn't :P I would definitely go here again, just with some friends... but it's no where to take someone that you're trying to impress.

Awesome. Great food. Quantity, service and prices are very good. Great mom and pop place. Love it on a lazy day for me.

We eat there weekly

We have used this restaurant for many years. There is nothing put on about them. A good old fashioned "Meat and Potatoes" restaurant. Kingston needs more like it. Staff are always friendly and a delight to talk to.

These guys are great. Great food good prices. If you phone an order in it's ready for you when you get there. Great for a lunch during the week
