Julien Papon, founder of Vitess Bicycle Corporation, builds high-end bikes from scratch and emphasizes the visual and experiential aspects of the bike. “It’s the idea of making a bike worth it so it fulfills the exact needs of riders,” explains Julien. “First of all, from the fitting point of view…but also from a performance point of view in the type of components we’ll be using in the bike.” He understands that countless riders have spent far too many thousands of dollars on bicycles that almost, but not quite, fit them perfectly. He offers the ideal alternative: a bike that is, quite literally, built for them and them only.

Julien’s bikes are hard-working machines, but also artistic creations. “Over time,” explains Julien, “we realized that the visual component, meaning how the bike is going to look, was quite important.” Vitess bikes are high-tech, high-performance bikes that are gorgeous to look at – if you can spot one before it races off into the sunset.
