When the pressures of the world are getting you down, it sometimes helps to get lost in solitary activity and find comfort by yourself. Here are some tips to help keep your mind peaceful and stress-free.
Soak in a steamy, scented bath or lie on the couch and stare at the ceiling. The idea is that your mind is not focused on anything, but is allowed to run free.
Rekindle your love of reading — it's more rewarding for you than watching television. And it's much healthier, because it keeps your brain highly active and engaged.
Many of us are sleep-deprived. Pretend you're six years old, put on flannel pajamas, get into bed and turn out the light.
The chamomile will help you to sleep and the mint will aid your digestion.
Not sure what to write? Jot down things that made you smile, things that made you angry — and why. Studies prove the stress-busting power of journal writing. And it's fun to look back through your journal to what you were doing a year ago.
