    Rude Manager, Incompetent Nail Technician, Unprofessional

    My nails were crooked & thick. In the 25 yrs I've had my nails done, they were the worst nails I've ever received. I tried for a week to put up with them but couldn't stand them any longer. I stopped into the Spa & asked for my $$ back or a new set of nails. The manager or whoever he was, basically told me to get lost. He came up with every excuse so he didn't have to pay. I asked him numerous times to show me his business licence. He kept on saying no then called security to intimidate me.

    This was the WORST customer service I have ever experienced in Calgary. First the managers were extremely rude and secondly the nail technician they assigned to us messed up twice before getting it right. Do not get your nails done here, but if you decide to please ask for Kim! Kim is the only person here who makes this place bearable and does her job phemonally. To re-iterate; managers were rude and unwelcoming, nail technician was inexperienced and service was overall horrible :/

    The new owner was horrible. So rude to his customer, not understanding the customer's need. Stating that it is completely my fault instead of the store. Tony was way better back then. He did not answer my question and just want me to pay and leave. Do not go there. There's barely any customer coming under his supervise.

    Worst service and incredibly rude staff & owner

    Terrible staff- one woman berated me because she started to put sparkles on my nails when I asked for a natural French tip. The rest of my group had equally bad experiences with staff who are not properly trained. Worst manicure and pedicures we’ve ever had. It was clear why the place was so poorly run when we spoke to the owner, she was even ruder than the staff when we complained about our service.

    DO NOT EVER GO HERE

    When we were all done and started to look at each others nails and the pathetic job that was done on us all we decided to go back in ( within 5 minutes of paying). We asked to speak to the owner who happened to be there. We explained how we were disappointed in how we were treated and in how poorly our nails were done. The owner insisted that the nails all looked fine. We showed the owner my nails and all of the blue that was ALL around my hands. We asked that the money that I paid ($26) to be reimbursed because it was so badly done. The owner said that the lady who did my nails got the job done. We left feeling angry, sad and frustrated.

    DO NOT GO HERE! Worst color and customer service!

    I mentioned that it looked dark, not what we had agreed upon, the stylist said I'm naturally a level 5 brown but she put a level 3 brown on me (OMG!!!). She said the reason she did this was because the color would fade and in about 4 or 5 weeks it would be closer to my natural color - but this was not what I wanted at all, I don't care about fading - I wanted to walk out with my natural color!! So once it was all said and done it was JET BLACK!!!! Not even a nice black, just completely jet black with no dimension what-so-ever. I told my concerns to the stylist right away and she kept reassuring me it would wash out (I've washed it a million times now with a clarifying shampoo and only made it dull, not brown). I also told her regardless of the black I was upset that there was a BLUE UNDERTONE to my hair. She pretty much told me I was crazy because she didn't see any blue at all. Yet when I went home one of the first things my husband said was that it looked blue. Now I really didn't want to write this review, so I called the salon and talked to a woman named Lisa who said she was the manager. She wasn't apologetic at all, she said she saw my hair when I left and it looked "fine". She wanted me to come in for a bleach cocktail to lighten it up - first off, my hair is super damaged and breaking from being blonde previously and being so harsh with the shampoos now so I really don't want to bleach it again, not even a little bit - Secondly, if I do decide to get a bleach cocktail to fix it (which I might have to - or at least a toner to neutralize the blue) there would be NO WAY I'D GO BACK TO THIS SALON. In a last ditch effort I called back the salon and asked to talk to the owner, Lisa now claimed that she was the owner - I'm not sure if this is true or not. Either way they refused to give a refund or even a discount, and not once did they apologize for making my hair this ugly blue black color. Don't waste your time or money on Advance.
