It is very frustrating dealing with treetime. After a month of caring, none of the 3 Autumn Brilliance Saskatoon sprout and one of the 6 white spruce showed no life sign. The others had sign of growth, but only one Mustang Cherry Plum (I bought two) and one white spruce (I bought six) grow strong. If you feel you are expert on nursing baby trees, and you are lucky enough to get only those super strong and super weak ones (no refund, but get credit on those never sprout), you can buy from them.
I bought a tree with a 117° bend at the graft. When I complained they claim to not have any control over their plants growth. They are either terrible at their jobs, or liars. No refund, just 50% (of the price of the tree) credit offered. Im not interested in buying from people who either dont know how graft properly or who are greedy and dishonest.
Since 2013 I have ordered thousands of trees from tree time. The advantages of their services is the multiple dates for shipping (free with min orders of over $100) , which includes Post Office box delivery in rural areas through Canada Post. I utilize this option by staggering my planting in a 4-6 week schedule, (you can only plant so many trees in a day/week per person). The diversity of species is immense for orchards, ornamental, shelter belts, and many more categories.
