Accurate Brake & Muffler

Jim Ward, owner of Accurate Brake and Muffler, has a reputation of being a whiz with custom exhaust work. "Jim does specialty and custom build exhaust for hot rods and low riders," says Jim's wife, Anna. "We've had cars sitting in our hoist that have been worth $200,000 or more. Jim is well-known in the business as someone who can fit an exhaust where other shops have said that it wouldn't." Jim also does fabrication work, which means that if things need to be cut out or built around to fit the exhaust, he can do it.

"We don't just do brakes and mufflers," says Anna. "That is the business name, but in reality, we can fix just about anything." The shop works by appointment, but tries to accommodate unexpected break-downs and emergencies. "Something we do like to do here," explains Anna, "is educate our customers on how to maintain and take care of their vehicles, so that emergencies don't happen."
