When Chris Wise opened Wiser’s Wide World of Collectibles in Fort Langley in the late 1980s, it changed his views on collecting. Growing up as an avid collector of sporting memorabilia, he quickly learned that in order to operate as a collectibles business he had to give it up as a hobby. “I don’t personally collect, I don’t feel a store owner should,” he says. “When a store owner personally collects, they take everything good from the store and its customers.”
Chris understands that with increasing competition and low overhead offered by online retailers, his is a people business. His customers come in for more than just the products he sells. “They enjoy the camaraderie of their friends, they enjoy the people who work here, and they enjoy opening a box of cards and sharing their highs and lows,” he explains.
The owner is always friendly and helpful. And the staff are always down to talk! Great selection of magic and warhammer. They seem to have a good handle on sport cards too, but I don’t collect. Go when I get the chance!
I started playing magic and their employees are very nice to me. I recomend this palce to everyone I meet who plays magic. And id recomendd it to anyone else as well.
