Love your community spirit.
Very knowledgeable and caring staff. A great vet that can handle all types of exotics, as well as dogs and cats. I always recommend these guys to anybody who has an exotic.
I contacted the clinic looking for some kimd of direction regarding my beared dragon who had fallen ill. The staff told me to email the Dr. Regarding my pets health. When Dr. Walton finally did get back to me instead of giving any advice he told me to go elsewhere with my pet. Worse yet by the time he did respond my Brearded Dragon has passed away! Do not bother with this vet. SHAME!

I am sorry you had a poor experience with Dewdney Animal Hospital. You called my clinic at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, my staff advised you that at the time we were not accepting new clients but gave you my email address. I was off work when you emailed me, but I responded by email immediately the next morning without knowing that your pet had died. I explained which veterinarians are best suited to treating your pet, but again we were not accepting new clients.
It makes me very angry to go to a vet where you think that your animal's best interests are of the upmost importance but this is not the case. I don't appreciate being suggested procedures for my animal that are not necessary. As a long-time pet owner, i really expected more from this clinic. It seems to me that some people care more about financial gain that the welfare of the animal ! shameful !! I will take my pet somewhere where her health is the priority !

I am sorry that you had a poor experience at Dewdney Animal Hospital. Please understand that any recommendations we made were in the best interest of your animal. Unfortunately we understand that several procedures can be cost prohibitive, and we accept that many people cannot afford them, however our responsibility is to recommend what is in the best interest of your pets. We try very hard to work with our clients, but as you are aware we cannot do these services for free.
This place is amazing. From the caring staff to the Vet's themselves, there is no other place I would even consider taking my dog to. Way to go guys....you should be VERY PROUD of yourselves!!!
