As one of the few shawarma places outside of downtown, this is an excellent place to grab some Middle Eastern inspired grub while in the area. Satisfy those hunger cravings with flavourful and juicy chicken shawarma, made with savoury spices and fresh vegetables. While this little hole-in-the-wall doesn't offer much seating, it does have a small patio so you can enjoy your food outdoors. With very reasonable prices and generous portions, you can fill yourself up in no time.

Freshness reigns at this Mount Pleasant Middle Eastern canteen. The unassuming joint belies the traditional, home-cooked fare prepared in the open kitchen. Friendly staff make your falafel to order, whether the solo wrap in a soft pita or the amped up platter. Take it to go or, better yet, grab a seat on their patio and order a cheap pint of beer. This is good value and great food. Ask for extra hot sauce if you’re looking for a little spice.
