I went in and ord...

I went in and ordered the Thai fried rice with pork and when they brought it to me it was missing the pork, I let the waitress know and she took it and brought me back the rice with pork 5 minutes later, I was with my wife so it was awkward having to wait to eat. When I started eating the rice I noticed that some of the rice was clumped together and had no flavor as it was not mixed properly. The waitress did not come back at all to ask how everything was and they did not offer a discount!

Pretty and delicious! I am having daily cravings!

Excellent food! Fast service! Great atmosphere! Fantastic Value! Beautiful presentation! I ordered off the lunch menu - great value - I could have easily taken half home for supper except it was so good I completely overindulged. I love Thai food and this restaurant serves great dishes with just the right amount of heat. Try the Matsuman beef.

Chaba takes you Thai

Having served as a chef in the military for 23 years, I have dined and fed around the globe. Being a fan of Thai / Indian cuisine, we (my family) decided to try Chaba Thai for a change. What a change! Our meal was Pad Thai, Panang Beef and Chicken Sauté as a starter. It is an open concept dining room over looking the back of RA park. The Pad Thai was second to none. Incredible flavour for an extremely reasonable price. The Panang Beef, well, if you like it hot look no further! I had sweat beading on my head. Loved every bite. The Chicken Sauté left you wanting more as appetizers usually do. All around incredible meal and once I saw my bill I wanted to quietly pay and yell to my wife "START THE CAR" as you'll feel like you were under charged. Chaba Thai definitely gets a Chef Heff two thumbs up!

With three locations in Halifax, the Queen Street outpost of Cha Baa Thai is definitely the most central, but they all serve the same amazing food. They also have really good lunch specials ($11.50), and the most delicious Thai iced tea – a real treat! I also love the papaya salad (som tam), which is super fresh tasting and delicious. Don’t believe me? The Coast voted Cha Baa Thai the best Thai restaurant three out of the last five years!
