It’s too bad!! I have been regular here for 5 years, since I have lived in Burlington. And honestly never had a problem until now after they have renovated and new waitstaff. Horrible service asked for extra garlic sauce I don’t mind paying if that was problem but she smashed it on table and had to ask twice for it and made it seem like I was inconviencing her. I double thinking coming here again!!
I go to montforts a lot, don't get me wrong the food is great when you aren't being ignored for an hour. Usually when you go in they expect you to seat yourself so we usually grab a booth that seats four. This time a large group had come in with us and sat at a couple tables pushed together. We waited twenty minutes without anyone coming to take our order because every waitress in the restaurant was paying attention to the other group and ignoring everyone else that was sitting nearby. I understand that they also need their orders to be taken however, after that was done the girls stood around continuing to ignore the rest of the people. After we finally got our food we had asked for another sauce because they only gave us three (there were four of us) and the girl gave us a hard time about it and reluctantly left to get it. She disappeared and never returned to our table, instead she returned to the large table. We had get up and ask the person in the kitchen for another sauce and bill. We have not retuned yet.
Great restaurant with a friendly staff. The food tasted fresh and was arranged on the plate with an appetizing style. Arguably the best chicken on a pita I've ever had. The pita was thin and pliable instead of overly thick. I liked how the chicken and other toppings were spilling forth from the pita like a cornucopia. The pineapple slices and the different spices went surprisingly well together. Clean interior with plenty of parking around the building. I look forward to returning and sampling more of their menu in the future. Truly a great place.
These people need to respect their clients. I think all of the reviews here are fake. I don't know about other locations but the one in Burlington is by far the worst restaurant experience I've had. I went there two times and everytime the waiter was rude whether in his service, in the way he talks, and treat the customers. The waitress was actually polite but the Tall skinny waiter with golden cross necklace is a disgrace to the community and with zero ethics, values, and principles. That waiter is rude and when talking nicely to him he actually starts bluffing and mumbling in Arabic. On top of all this he was hitting on my wife and the way he was looking at her is absolutely assaulting and disrespectful. I decided to write this complaint and I am planning to go a next time cause I really think people like him shouldn't serve and I am pretty sure he is discriminating others freely. Somebody has to put an end.
Re: Montforts on Brant in Burlington Here's the true story from a paying customer. I called to order for pick-up, 1 meat & hummus and 4 falafel pieces. Then, I called back to order a Falafel Sandwich. I went to pick them up and when I arrived at work, I noticed the whole order was wrong. I received a meat/hummus, and two orders of falafel pieces (total 8 pieces). I called the place, and a woman answered and I indicated to her who I was and what my previous order was and explained that the order was incorrect. The owner proceeded to raise her voice to indicting that "it's unbelievable how I could have ordered wrong in the first place" in a heavy arabic accent. Then HUNG-UP on me. I proceeded to call back, she answered again and I asked for the owner/manager, to receive a response of "I am the owner". At that point, I said, WOW- Great Customer Services. I speak perfect English. I know what I ordered. I don't know how they treat paying customers in their country, clearly respect is a foreign word to her, but in this country- Customer Services and human respect is common sense. I am appauled, disgusted and angered how this person treats customers. NEVER AGAIN WILL I ATTEND ANY MONTFORTS ANYWHERE!
I've been to every Montfort in Burlington - this is the best one of them all.....i like to call it "the original" montfort. Chicken Schwarma fills you right up, not too greasy & full of goodness! Hummus and pita are an excellent start for an appetizer. My only complaint is that they could have a better wine list & that they could keep it a little cleaner. Other than that - it is the best schwarma in the city!
I go here for the food - the super falafel is what I get every time and it is superb! Everything from the salad dressing to the homefries to the falafel and that delicious garlic sauce is amazing. However, every time I've been here, about 5 times, I've had bad experiences with the servers. I've had mixed up orders, servers who forget about our table, and every time I've had a server who fails to keep up with the drink situation. That meaning they do not refill beverages and never ask, even if its water. The poor service and odd decor will not deter me from coming back every time for the amazing food!
Great food (best montfort by a mile of all the restaurants, it is the only one i will eat in as the rest aren't half as good) and great service. Place needs to be updated a little but you are there for the food. Only real complaint is no wholewheat pita's. The lamb shashlik is excellent. Highly recommended.
My only issue with Montforts is that the lighting tends to be a bit dark if you are not near a window! The food is always good and the service is great! I will of course be going again, just wish that it was a tad brighter :)
i can't remember getting service like that in years. talk about going out of your way to make sure things were great. the food was a welcome and exotic change. the price would have been near to 0 if wine and beer weren't involved. it was the best
I have been going to Montforts for as long as it has been open, It is and will always be a fav for me. I have noticed though over the years that the food quality has dropped. This is a sham and i do hope that the owner reads thease reviews and takes a look at the over-all structure of his "franchise". If I go to one location the food can be awsome but then another is just the pits. This is evident in the reviews that are being posted. But rest assured...I still Love this restaraunt and always will and recomend it to all of burlington. Every place has there bad days and this is no exception. The food ist the best and the staff for the most part are friendly. Just ask for Mike...he seems to be the best of the new bunch! Cheers to all PS it could stand a reno
The lunch specials were 9.98 each. We were greeted warmly and our orders taken promptly. Decided to try the posted lunch specials. The servings of soup were large and came with pita bread. It was a meal in itself. The lentil soup was really delicious. The serving of the chicken swarma in a pita was absolutly huge and delicious. Meat was very moist. Excellent service, very generous portionsamd very good value. A very nice treat on a cold, wintery Friday afternoon!!
Got taken here one night by friends, and I haven't been able to stop going since!! Totally addicted! Food is great, service is always fast and friendly, and it is a nice cozy atmosphere!! LOVE IT!! =)
I like this place alot. The food is relativly fast, and it is well done! Extremely tastey.
Had been to this restaurant when it first opened, it was excellent, used to go there all the time when in Burlington but the last two times, especially the last time done it, no more. The food was some of the worst I ever had and paid a premium for it, will never go back there again, one of the most disappointing experiences in a restaurant We ever had.
Had been told this place was good so I was stunned by how bad it was. The menu is limited (despite appearence) & I thought the so-called "meat" tasted like dog food (until my dog literally turned her nose up at the leftovers I brought home). BTW, if you ask for ketchup, you are looked at like criminals-- presumably because of the misplaced pride they have in the customary sauces. After a short conversation with the arrogant & abrasive management, we left & swore never to return. You can do so much better in Burlington!
