Welcome to the Massey Fair!Monthly meetings are every second Monday of the month at 7 p.m. Next Meeting fair grounds, August 11th 7 pm at the fair grounds in the green buildingparade is going back to Saturday it will start at 9 am at the arena and registration is at 7:30 am you can pre register at the fair office Thursday and Friday before the parade.The Massey Agricultural Society was organized on July 13, 1907, hosting its first meeting with an attendance of over thirty men. A board of directors was elected and their first concern was finding a suitable place to hold their first annual Fall Fair.A local gentleman allowed the board to use his property free of charge in exchange for making some repairs to the building to make it suitable for the livestock animals and exhibits.In 1912, the Agricultural Society of Massey purchased 8 acres of estate land and for the past one hundred years, this is where the Massey Fair has been held, drawing crowds from across northern and central Ontario. more...
