i was with two other professional friends today for lunch at Orange Bistro and was very unhappy with the service altogether and we all decided to skip the tip!! The waiter whistled and mumbled " I will remember" when we finished paying and walked away instead of asking for feedback. We will never go back there for sure. We are not the kind of people who skip the tip. A waiter has to be that bad for me to do it. It was a collective decision we made at the end of the lunch.
Im usually giving very positive reviews but for this place i have to make a bit of an exception. Don't get me wrong, i got the arabiata pasta and it was great! However, while my wife and i were eating our meal we had to endure the chef freaking out in the kitchen (maybe an open kitchen isnt a good idea for this type of person). I thought he was just having a bad day, but ive been here a few times and every time on a friday or saturday night the chef although nice to the customers seems a little frustrated in the kitchen, including towards the servers. I also found that i was rushed by the kitchen staff. Before i even finished my appetizer, here comes my main course..Needless to say i think if i get anything from here again i will order take out. I recommend any of the pastas, my wife had muscles and said they were "okay" and said for someone who "specializes in seafood" she expected better quality.
For an anniversary dinner on a Sunday night we were quite disappointed. Our former pastor raved about their food. Our neighbours have always been happy. We were very sad. Mussels as an appetizer were average...at best. We needed to ask for bread...? Soup was very nice. Shark steak was very good the first time around but after it was sent back to stay "warm" as we waited for not ONE but TWO rib-eye steaks (the "Special") to be cooked medium-rare...pink but not bloody...all was a lost casuse. Traded steak #2 for the ravioli pasta special and the shark steak was dry after being re-warmed twice. Finally, the owner cooked rib-eye steak #3 himself which came after the change in our order. No discount on our dinner...an apology from the owner that his "chef" had some personal "issues" that week...?! Even with the purchase of a $$$ bottle of wine and a $20+ tip the waitress didn't even thank us for our patronage. Very sad. Rethink your visit for "authentic" italian cuisine who "specialize" in seafood.
We have visited Il Corso on many occasions for dinner. We have always been pleased, excellent food, friendly but not too friendly service & fair prices. The portion sizes tend to be large so make sure you are hungry when you go. The ambiance is nice, much nicer inside than you think. It is fairly quiet, you won't need to raise your voice over the music. The location is a bit off the beaten track but it is worth the drive.
The staff i have dealt with there are friendly and eager to make your stay a pleasant one..The food is fantastic ! If you like authentic Italian food,this is the spot. For sure to go back sometime soon.5/5
What happened to the servers. New people who don't know how to serve tables. We used to get good service there and all that staff is now gone. One woman was rude to the other staff in front of us, we felt bad for the girl. The food took so long to get and the server did not care. "I'm not the cook " she says. and continues to be rude to the other girls. But the wine was good.We came last April and it was great all around. All different staff this time and unorganized.
Great food for reasonable prices. I have taken several business people to this restaurant over the past several months and every one wants to keep coming back for the great food and service. Have not had a bad experience yet. Location is tucked away but worth the find. Great job Mike and staff.

While the food was wonderful I wish we'd taken along provisions! Despite our reservation (we were seated immediately in a drafty corner) we waited over an hour for our appetizer! The reason? The kitchen got "snowed". Doesn't every good restaurant? If there had been an apology or something removed from our bill it would have been easier to take. The long wait for food flavoured our visit far more than the excellant food when it eventually arrived. How very disappointing.
The food is excellent, the service even better. I've been here a few times now and each time is better. Would recommend this place to anyone.
The service was excellent, and the food was top knotch. The pasta sauce tasted similiar to my Nona's homemade sauce, however, the stuffing inside the manicotti could have had just a bit more flavour. The Lamb was exquisite. It was the best lamb I, and my girlfriend, have ever tasted. Cooked to perfection, the meat was tender and succulent. The sauce was well-balanced with the perfect amount of mint. We would highly recommend Il Corso's and are looking forward to visiting it in the near future. It is always wonderful to see an owner take such pride in every part of the business. From the moment we walked in, Mike was gracious and accomodating.
The quality of food is above average, but the service was outstanding, A very nice place to enjoy a nice night out. A hit over all and will try this restaurant.

This place has changed so much with the new owner, and hes italian. The new menue is great, kids portions and price is great. Tasts like back home in Italy, all home made sauces and dishes. We thought we would try it again. not to pleased with the previous owners cooking. Were back and glad to find real Italian cooking in Orangeville. Service is great too, thank you Maria and Mike. Nice wine list, clean place.
I been here once before and it is very good food. Italian style. i rated this place before but i put a 1 insted of a 10 for all. sorry but im not to good with all the english yet. But we come back a few times and relly like this place and the people, they speek Italian to.
Great food and alot of it. Nice fresh bread served. The best caeser salad ever. Very nice people working there. We are regulars now and are always treated very well. Nice candle lit place at night. Thank you girls for all the good service and thanks chef for the great meals!
The steak was perfect and thick. My wife loved the home made pasta sauce. Friendly people working there. We were not rushed at all.
