Snug, Jeanne John’s fashion boutique for women and children, is just that – petite and very welcoming. Racks of bright onesies for babies, geometrically patterned dresses and tulle skirts for girls, cool T-shirts and studded belts for boys, and wide-brimmed hats and floaty scarves for women cover every inch of Snug’s space - and yet somehow it’s still possible to manoeuver a stroller through the shop.
Jeanne describes Snug as “a mini department store without a men’s section.” And, yes, you can pick up clothes for (almost) anyone in the family, along with underpants, pyjamas, jewellery and accessories - even stuffies. You’d be hard-pressed though to find a department store that carries such consistently funky and well-made stuff.
