“What I find most attractive about working as a florist is that flowers each evoke their own specific sentiment, their own intention. You can relay just about any message or elicit any reaction in someone with a thoughtful selection of flowers,” says Josée Fortin, owner of Fleuristerie O'Fleurs, a pretty boutique on Rosemont’s Beaubien Street. “They can be used in all sorts of contexts, and for all occasions. They’ll always express something very personal.”

“I love flowers,” she adds, ”and I love the neighbourhood. It’s really a pleasure for me to be able to run my business here, a hop skip and a jump away from my home, and surrounded by familiar faces on a daily basis.”

In addition to offering flower arrangements for weddings and funerals, Fleuristerie O'Fleurs caters to corporate offices with a subscription service. Josée and her team deliver and tend flowers throughout Montreal, and make sure to tailor each arrangement to the business it decorates. “We are in business since January 2014, and we are currently developing the corporate service in addition to a host of new services. Our aim is to bring a bit of life to Montreal offices via flowers,” she explains.
