“The body is a point of entry to the rest our being: with this in mind, I set out to help each of my clients to adopt a healthier lifestyle. One centered around wellness and on the soundness of their bodies, so they can find a balance, a kind of autonomy,” explains Éléonore Piquet.
Éléonore, the founder and director of Terre d'essence, definitely practices what she preaches. A former marketing and business professional, she used to lead a life centered on something she admits not to have been too passionate about. “My transformation began when I got laid off. So I decided to take a break, to go on sabbatical, to find myself. I had already started practicing yoga, which I loved. Then, I set off to India for three months on my own. And it changed my life,” she recalls. “I learned to overcome my fear of the unknown and, upon returning to Montreal, I decided to launch my own business, so that I could share the insights I gleaned in India,”
Éléonore opened Terre d'essence in 2009, on Saint-Joseph Boulevard, in the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal neighbourhood.
