Owned and operated by husband-and-wife team Scott and Stephanie Jaeger, the multi-award-winning Pear Tree restaurant has been delighting the taste buds of Lower Mainland residents with seasonal and fresh Canadian cuisine since 1997.
Originally trained under iconic BC chef Bruno Marti, Pear Tree head chef Scott has cooked his his way around the globe, including stints in England, France, Switzerland and Australia. “The more restaurants I worked at, the more I enjoyed cooking and saw opening my own restaurant as the best opportunity to create the menus and cook the dishes I wanted to cook every day,” says Scott.
Along with global experience, passion is another important ingredients in Scott and Stephanie’s success with The Pear Tree. “We really appreciate the opportunity to cook for customers and truly enjoy serving guests. We are open five days a week, so we can both be there for every service.” says Scott. “Our staff has really been key to our success. The opportunity to employ quite a few great people has been one of most rewarding aspects of operating The Pear Tree.”

My husband and I have been going to The Pear Tree since we started dating as teenagers, and still head there at least once a year for kid-free date nights. Our lives have changed significantly over the past eighteen years, but the service and quality have remained top-notch. We dine at a lot of incredible restaurants in Vancouver, and the Pear Tree is still one of our favourites. Don't miss the spot prawn cappuccino!
4 of us went for dinner at the Pear Tree. We tried an assortment of dishes to share and some wine. The service and food was fantastic. The cuisine was different from any other place that I have tried. Pricing was average for fine dining. I would definitely return and would recommend to friends and family. Its worth a try.
