This signature deluxe hot shave ($35) is a multi-step process involving hot towels, essential oils, rich moisturizing cream and a sharp straightedge blade. Ice-cold towels are applied afterwards to close the pores and the face is massaged with a soothing after-shave balm to finish. Walk-ins are welcome but the shop can get busy on weekends so call ahead to book an appointment.

Part modern men’s salon, part social club, Barber & Co. is collaboration between Martin Rivard and Ian Daburn (both third-generation barbers) and the Donnelly Group. Each of the handsome barbershops has its own unique aesthetic, but all offer a cool, masculine vibe, fun toys (think pool tables, dartboards, pinball machines) and vintage barber chairs from Belmont and Koken. A classic straight razor shave ($35) includes hot towels and essential oils while the deluxe option ($45) features an additional relaxing massage.
