Turmeric lattes, also known as golden milk, started becoming a trend in 2016, continued well into 2017, and now they are a regular item on the menu of many cafés in Toronto. Not only is it a healthy drink, it’s also very soothing. With a nutty base, some spicy and many unique variations, here’s where you’ll find this hot, or iced, drink in the 6. This beautiful superfood snack café at Yonge and Summerhill is known for its rich turmeric latte. It’s made with turmeric, cinnamon, vanilla, raw honey and a pinch of black pepper mixed with in-house steamed nutmilk (blend of cashews, almonds and coconut). The famous $16 smoothie also has turmeric in it, and given the amount of nutritionally beneficial ingredients, it’s definitely worth the price!
These guys are like the mixologists of tea. It’s not your average tea bar. They use no tea bags – think loose leaf teas mixed with spices and other ingredients. Like a cocktail without the alcohol to give you a hangover. They have two versions. One is called the Pure Gold, made with turmeric, honey, ginger, cinnamon and chai. The other is the Tainted Gold, a chocolate infused turmeric milk spiced with ginger and chai.

Known for its high quality cold-pressed juices and healthy lifestyle brand, Greenhouse Juice has a seasonal turmeric latte named the Gold Star Latte. It’s sweet and spicy. What’s in it? Turmeric, ginger, a pinch of freshly ground black pepper and the in-house almond milk (which is a sweet, nutty dream, unlike any other you’ve had – it’s made with almonds, dates, vanilla bean, Himalayan salt and filtered water). Tip: if it’s no longer on the menu, I hear Emma from the flagship location can whip one up just as good.
