Went to Canyon Creek for the last time about 2 years ago. The service and food was so terrible I asked to speak to the manager. After I spoke to him he felt so bad he didn't charge us for any of our meal. They even brought us a free dessert and sparkling wine. A nice gesture, but we learned our lesson. Now we go to the Keg, which is always excellent. (The Waterdown location is beautiful!)
First time visting their location in Burlington. Ordered the New York Steak with Rice -Well Done. Steak isn't the best quality. Rice wasn't bad. No Veggies thats extra. The Keg & Milestones is better. Small Portions. Waste of $ Money. Servers are always trying to up sell you. Master Steaks on Dixie have a better Quality Steak for a better Price. will not go back. To Pricey. Not alot of selection on the Menu!
First impression was some kind of a bad smell. Not something you want to find at a restaurant. Second impression was a totally phony and patronizing waitress (which drives me nuts) asking"Are we ready to order drinks"? "Have we ever been here before"?, "Are we ready to order"? "Are we thinking about dessert?".
No WE aren't. Drives me crazy.
The food was pretty mediocre, the place just had a bad vibe going, and the price was way too much for what it was.
This place is supposed to be famous for it's ribs and steaks but it failed miserably on both accounts. I was there last wk and got the chipotle steak which was tough and overcooked (medium rare is NOT pink in the middle) and the ribs were the worst ribs i have ever had, they were tough, very little meat and burnt. The ceaser salad was incredibly mediocre as was the fruit crisp for dessert. So basically everything we ordered was pretty well garbage. Will never go back here again and i strongly warm others to not go unless you want to throw your money away.
I have been there 3 times and all 3 times were a major disappointment. And management did nothing to rectify my concerns -- so I will be taking the business of myself and friends elsewhere from now on!
1) Service for our group was ridiculously slow, and I asked to take my steak home (ordered the steak and king crab legs) and the server took it away and did not bring it back to me. Others in my party also complained that their meals were not cooked appropriately.
2) Did not provide my Caesar salad until AFTER I finished eating my entree.
3) Made a reservation for 7pm, and had to wait 30 minutes for a table in the crowded bar with standing room only, with NO apology whatsoever.
