Riverside Fish & Chips

AWFUL. We ordered 20 min in advance and waited 20 min at the restaurant. Food was overpriced and overcooked. Greasy, salty and watered down malt vinegar. Never again.

Huge portions!!!!

Huge portions, good prices, the only thing they need to do is clean up the place, it needs a face lift! Best fish and chips I have ever had!!!

Yummy meal - yet again!!!

My hubby and I decided last minute to grab a bite to eat, I had the steak on a bun with onions and fries and he had a bacon cheeseburger & we had battered veggies...again it was excellent, we were stuffed before we cleaned off our plates - it's so nice to have dinner out and get lots of food at such low prices! A+++

The most amazing food and service:)

WOw this was THE BEST fish and chips I have ever had! My daughter and I decided to get a 2 piece fish and chips and also the battered veggies...yummy! It was fabulous - the fish was amazing and the fries-yum!!! The service was outstanding - so incredibly friendly & sweet :) We will now make this our regular restaurant! If you are going through Durham - you HAVE to stop and have a bite there, you'll be glad you did!

The atmosphere reminds me of summer on a beach ... close enough anyway, with the Saugeen River right next door. The service is friendly and the servings are huge. The fish was lightly battered, and cooked to crunchy perfection, with the fish tasty and soft. The ample serving of fries was crisp and tasty, as was the coleslaw. The ice cream cones were excellent a very generous scoop!

Not like I have many of them, but I'd say this is the best fish burger I've ever had. The fish filet was huge, the batter was not too thick and nicely crispy, and the fish tasted good. The Aquafina water was refreshing as expected. We ate outside next to the river which was really nice.

The food was magnificent and in extrememly large portions. The fish were absolutely huge and and a perfectly done crunchy crust with a melting inside. The tartar sauce included in it went perfectly with the meal as well as the lemon. The great food was a great compliment to a great staff. They were friendly, helpful, fast, (and very good looking):) I recommend anyone to go to this restaurant if they are passing through the small town of Durham on Highway 6. It is on the North side of town, right before the bridge, be lookign for it going North after the lights on the right.
