Pat & Hank's Fish & Chips invites you to their establishment. They are open at night all week and are found in an area packed with parks and restaurants.
We were there last Sunday and have very mixed reviews. The parking lot just about took off the under side of my car. The inside is extremely dated looking and dingy. The fries were under cooked, almost raw. Trinity was an incredible waitress. She was extremely helpfull with my disabled mother and made us feel very important, even though we were a table of 7. The Halibut was cooked to perfection!!!!
When i visit WIndsor, i like to drop in at Pat and Hanks. I love halibut, but am satisfied with their regular grade of fish . Good size servings, fries are tasty too. Both locations on tecumseh are great; the locale near Lesperance seems more formal.
We are new to the area and this restaurant was reccommendedto us. Obviously the regular customers get the best service. The first visit after waiting fr 10 minutes while our server was chatting it up with regular clients we sat. Finally took our order and we never did get the dinner rolls that come with the fish and chips (even after reminding her twice!)
The second time we sat in one area and waited and waited to be servec and finally moved to where we thought the other server would be quicker. How wrong we were. There were 3 others came in after us and we knew they were regulars because the everyday conversations started and they were served right away.
Hard to eturn back..even if they think they get enough business from regular customes this is not a good practice.
