We chose Summit based on a personal recommendation from a neighbour and the company's claim of dust-free refinishing. We had existing oak hardwood upstairs refinished and the stain custom-matched to new pre-finished Brazilian cherry downstairs. The process included refinishing fir stair treads and putting Brazilian cherry on the risers. There was no dust! We were given several samples of the stain match to choose from, and the finished product is beautiful. The staff were courteous and professional, all our questions were answered, service was prompt, and attention to detail was meticulous. We will recommend Summit to anyone who asks. We chose their company as they carried a wide range of high quality products and their pricing was comparable to any of their competitors. Our house was built in 2000 with solid oak hardwood floors, which have never been those you drool with envy over, like on those home improvement shows. After our dishwasher damaged the floors with water recently, our insurance company called in Dave at Summit Floors. He listened to our concerns, he took account of our lifestyle (dogs in particular), he made many suggestions with regard to different types of stain and finishes. His knowledge and the company's customer service was refreshing, their showroom was a great representation of what they are able to offer as a service. Dave patiently waited until a time convenient to us to do the repairs, and was very respectful of our privacy concerns to have someone in our house while we were absent. We were out of the house a scant 5 days for the floors to be sanded and refinished. When we walked in, yes all we can say is just WOW. First of all, to neat freak me there was no mess, and no dust that I was able to find. The floors truly look like newly laid wood. You would never know of the water damage, and yes they even got rid of the dogs' nail damage and even made suggestions to safe keep the floors for future years. We are proud to invite our neighbours to check out our hardwood floors, care of Summit, and have those enviable floors that we have wanted all these years.
