I was very specific with Avon animal hospital with spaying my puppy. I got a reasonable written quote. When I showed up to pick up my puppy, not only was she howling in pain but the vet tried to charge me an extra 70.00 more than my quote!!! He only ended up refunding me 30.00 for pain medicine that the assistant said he didn't even give my dog!!!!!! My dog cried (I've never heard anything like this before) my other pets NEVER cried like this after being fixed! I DO NOT RECOMMEND AVON TO ANYONE
This clinic has the WORST bed side manner imaginable. Having to take a critically ill, treasurer family pet in is traumatic enough without the RUDE, nasty treatment that you receive from the vet here. In front of a 15 year old who is already devastated bat the prospect of losing their beloved dog that he has had since the age of 5. Making his mother feel as if she is somehow at fault for filling the directions of another vet. Do NOT go here.
I brought my dog in for his vaccines for the 1st time at the recommendation of the breeder. The vet had a few emergencies, gave me a paper document to read and to choose from the list and small paragraph explanations which shots to give my dog... then the assistant came to ask which shots we would like. Since i'm not a vet I wasn't too sure and suggested 1 or 2 then got a whole lot of attitude like I wasn't a good owner cos I'm not giving my dog this shot or that shot. I got annoyed because shou

If you're looking for a vet .. I'd say this is the end of your search
I rushed my 2.5 year old little buddy to the Avon Animal Hospital when he wouldn't eat or drink. He was not himself, he only wanted to lay down.
Dr. Baljit Mrar ,first off, did not explain fees. He seemed to care at the beginning of our consultation, and afterwards when he was quoting what would need to be done, he said "sign this" and handed us a bill. We began to look over a bill that was $650.00 for testing and IV's. We could not afford that and then the Vet stated that we owed $120.00 for the consultation so we of course had to pay that.
We couldn't believe how callous and money hungry this Vet became. He was trying to push us to sign the bill for $650.00 and then stated there was also a quote for $850.00 with further testing involved, we said we would think about it so we could take our cat out of there. The Vet still did not know what was wrong after a couple of minutes of examining him.
It was ridiculous and I have since called around to other Vets and they said that is a very high fee and their fee for blood tests was ranging from $120.00 - $144.00. Just beware before you go here that the Vet is extremely expensive and does not offer any payment options. We're taking our cat elsewhere and I suggest you do the same!!!!!!
