I had a great time at Café il Nido the other night. The Costoletta was fantastic! Grilled to perfection and fresh vegetables. The service was attentive and fast. Couldn't find anything to complain about!

Yummy!

So many Italian restaurants in Vancouver miss the spot but Il Nido never fails to disappoint. Have scored down 1 point because there's always room for improvement!

Best Italian in the city!!!

This place is a gem, hidden little courtyard in the shopping district of downtown Robson street. Welcoming warm staff, prompt and courteous, attentive but not over served. Food was fantastic, balanced flavors and not to heavy, not over sauced - everything was cooked to perfection. The patio is unique, quiet, romantic, and hidden. Overall, a 10/10 best experience we have had in the city and we would recommend it to anyone!!!

Best Italian in Vancouver

We arrived at Cafe Il Nido on a summer afternoon, and were promptly seated at a comfortable table on the courtyard garden patio by a warm and friendly Italian man - think he was the owner. We selected a few delicious cocktails and a very good priced bottle of Chianti to open and get air as we selected our meals. The service was just enough where we could enjoy our evening without too much chatting to the waiter, but received attentive service when needed. We started with an amazing salad and fresh local prawns - yummy! I had the lasagna, and my wife had the cod - wow delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced with not too much sauce. For dessert, I had the Tiramasu and my wife the chocolate cake. Great Italian coffee to finish and we were perfectly satisfied. This location is idea for a quiet meet just after a day of shopping, or romantic dinner in the city without the noise and commotion. I highly recommend this place and will be back!!
