An evening yoga class will help you purge the work that follows you home after you’ve clocked out and re-focus your mind on the stillness and movement of your body. Instructors guide students through a series of poses to help promote flexibility, alignment and posture, while giving your internal organs a wonderful massage. Practicing yoga on a consistent basis helps decrease blood pressure thanks to improved circulation and oxygenation of the body. Enjoy a good sweat at one of One Yoga’s approachable but challenging vinyasa, power flow or foundation classes.
Head to this inclusive Gastown studio to catch a community class, taught by an up-and-coming teacher. Your donation (minimum of $5) will go towards helping organizations that support the residents of the Downtown Eastside. Yogis under the age of 25 can also attend Root to Rise all-level yoga classes for free and anyone can join in by donation to raise funds for Vinyasa Yoga for Youth to bring yoga to at-risk kids.
Reconnect with your mind and body during alignment-based Vinyasa classes at this simple one-room studio on West Hastings.
