Unprofessional Service

It is clear why the service is very poor at Revel Room, it is lead with the poorest standards of customer service. The conflict resolution skills coming from management was childish and unprofessional. The service team had a very hard time communicating amongst each other and made NO effort to clarify, problem-solve, or apologize to their paying guests about our experience. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back despite the band’s good vibe and musical talent.

Nice place to drink or eat

Great place with good blues music and delicious food. Saint-Louis dishes like ribs are great. Cocktails are very nice, and you can give a try to the special one, suggested by the barman on the tab. If you want to have a nice view on performer while eating or drinking, go on up floor in front of the scene.

Another Shining Example of the Gastown Scene

My wife and i recently gave Revel Room a go on one of our date nights. Boy were we ever impressed! The service was friendly and efficient and the room was cozy and interesting. The food was fantastic, the menu was not huge but the the selections were all so interesting that it made a selection difficult. Whats better is that what we did choose lived up wot its billing on the menu. The beverage lists were varied and interesting as well. Well worth the money and a great experience in Gastown's ever burgeoning culinary scene.

Best of Vancouver’s southern cuisine

Best of Vancouver’s southern cuisine

In keeping with its name, Revel Room hosts celebratory evenings that are evenly matched by scrumptious, southern-style dishes. The bistro’s bustling kitchen is open past midnight on weekends, while popular local bands play blues, rockabilly and swing music until the wee hours four nights a week. For those looking for an afternoon jolt, the famous Sour Hour offers “bourbon forward” cocktails on the cheap and live tunes from the restaurant’s resident (and raucous) pianist, Mike Van Eyes, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, each Tuesday through Saturday.

11 Vancouver restaurants for an office holiday party

11 Vancouver restaurants for an office holiday party

Revelry is the name of the game at this celebratory spot on Abbott Street. The raucous Southern-style bar features boozy cocktails, live music and a loud party-like atmosphere reminiscent of NOLA’s own Bourbon Street. Private dining spaces are available for small and large groups, with a variety of food options. Those who want a sit-down meal can request a three-course dinner ($35, $45 or $55 per person), which is served family-style on sharing platters to keep things interactive. Alternatively, book a cocktail-style party (between $15 and $30 a head) with passed hors d’oeuvres and casual canapés to encourage mingling.
