My parents and I went for dinner over the weekend and gave La Grotta a try. Was very impressed overall. I had the Agnolotti, and it was very tasty. One of the best pasta dishes I've had while dining out. I want to go back and have it all the time! My parents were both very impressed with their meals--Beef Tenderloin and Veal Marsala. Tried a bit of each, everything was great! Finished our meals with some Tiramisu which I personally loved!! Service was very prompt and the servers were all very friendly. Restaurant was on the smaller size but very cozy. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at La Grotta! Great Italian experience! Expect to see us back soon!
Me and my family came to this restaurent on friday night for my daughter's birthday party. We had a beautifull round table. We ordered bottele of wine and seafood, lamb, pastas,and pizza. we all enjoyed every thing. Thank you for La Grotta make my family happy on my daughter birthday party and waiter was very friendly
My boyfriend and I came to this restaurant for the first time tonight (Friday night). We arrived at 845pm and were seated promptly. The restaurant wasn't busy, there were only 1 other table of customers besides us. The atmosphere was OK. Nothing especially good or bad to mention. We were served bread and butter quickly, but water took a while. I ordered a Sangria and my boyfriend ordered a beer. The Sangria was delicious, except it seemed quite diluted. The waitress poured my boyfriend's beer into a glass and spilled some beer on the floor, it wasn't a big deal. We all chuckled and she cleaned up quickly. When the food came, that was when the disappointments began. The calamari was very salty and without much texture, almost felt mushy. The colour and the pasta looked off (looked grayish) and the pasta was very under cooked (much more under cooked than al dente) and not hot enough. The pizza sauce on the pizza was very watery and the sausage tasted like something they bought at a cheap grocery store for half price. And we were never offered any fresh ground pepper for any of our food. The food at this restaurant was one of the worst I have ever had. On top of that, they were very over priced for the quality of food they serve. I was so dissatisfied with their food that I felt like I had to register for resaurantica and write a review about them. I hope people can read my review and save their money and time and go somewhere else. Also, beware of the positive ratings on this restaurant. The positive reviews for this restaurant do come from only a few individuals, there is one person who wrote 12 reviews and one person who wrote 5 reviews for this restaurant. It's a little quaint restaurant that has all the comforts of little italy. The food is delicious, I went with my family and we loved the pizza pollo and the lamb. Simply wonderful and we will be delighted to go back again.
Food- Delicious. Service- Frank was attentitive and entertaining. Ambiance- lovely. We've been there twice in one week, first time in door, second time on the patio. We're bringing friends with us next time.
